R / T

Tourists tend to send their family and friends post cards showing famous places of historical sites; they have the proof then that they were really there. Is it possible to imagine post cards of cities which have no tourist attractions? And if this is the case, what type of images might be found on the post cards of this 'anywhere' city.
Also, completely unfamiliar cities for tourists, such as Roubaix and Tourcoing of northern France, there should surely be "postcards" representing those places. These images are rather tiny everyday scenes that had not been taken at tourist spots nor historic sites. They are the light of the initials "R / T" and can not identify the place as Roubaix or Tourcoing. It could be anywhere or nowhere.
