Photo sculpture

Do you know of "amber insects"? This is an insect which was entangled in sap and fossilized for a hundred million years. Sap became amber through time and takes on the role of a capsule to keep the insects forever. In this project, I took photographs of tools from a junior high school that has been closed, and I then crimped the photographs with acrylic resin. These tools that had been well used over time now exist in acrylic resin, so we can no longer touch them anymore.
Photographs are a 2 dimensional media. So we can say the camera is the machine that can convert the world from 3D to 2D. This media record of the world through deducting one dimension form 3D space to a 2D plane, is why we are interested in the photo media. In my art work, I try to the return media to 3D from the 2D as translated by camera.
